Europe’s largest "Räbechilbi" - sugar beet fair
The traditional “Räbechilbi”, or sugar beet fair, is held in November in Richterswil on Lake Zurich. This Swiss version of Hallowe’en is fun for all the family. Huge crowds turn out to watch the parade of over 10,000 hollowed out and intricately carved sugar beet lanterns light up the village.
Circus Conelli – Christmas Circus
The program ranges from classical circus to the modern. A festival of color and fantasy awaits guests on the Bauschänzli fairytale island near Bürkliplatz and on the banks of the Limmat River with world-class performances and a Christmas finale.

Santa Claus Ship
On Saturday December 2, children can visit Santa Claus and his helper, known in Switzerland as “Schmutzli”, on a boat on Lake Zurich. He brings the children small presents from his home in the woods.
